One of the most consistent things I hear in response to hand analysis readings is, “I’m blown away!” I love this, because it gets to the heart of the joy and validation that the truth about ourselves can offer. It’s as though the soul takes a long exhale and relaxes into the ease of finally being acknowledged. There is nothing more gratifying than helping others come home to themselves. But, hand analysis can also create an inner tension, because so much of what we think we know about ourselves has been dictated or shaped by outside influences. So when hand analysis reveals the soul within, it may be at odds with the identity we’re inhabiting.

This is most obvious when our purpose is revealed. Sometimes it lands with certainty and bolsters courage, because it’s the news we need to fully own that big leap or scary risk, when we’ve been dismissing that quiet voice within that keeps telling us to trust and go for it. Sometimes it brings a measure of peace, that what we’ve been dedicated to over the passage of time has been aligned. But sometimes, it comes as a shock that can force some internal examination.

Experience has taught me that one of the most disorienting purposes is creativity.

Unless someone is consciously, actively pursuing a creative path in some capacity, creativity as a purpose feels misaligned. And then I get push back. I welcome the push back, because it feels like a vitally important moment to reframe narratives around what creativity is . . .

Collective knowledge measures creativity as something essential for the creation of the arts. But at the heart of creativity is vision: originality and usefulness, which can be applied in myriad ways across many disciplines. I’ve given hand readings to people who earn their living in accounting or human resources who have creativity as their purpose, and yet, they didn’t see how the work they were doing was creative, and more importantly, they don’t identify as creative. So, I always have to ask when the push back comes, “Are you solving complex problems in original ways?” This ah-ha moment magically gives people permission to fully inhabit a part of themselves that they were reluctant to name or even acknowledge.

Reclaiming what our soul chose is conscious permission to take back our power.

This is by no means limited to those with a creativity purpose, as I’ve experienced push back in response to a number of aspects in the hands. Hand analysis is a truth-telling tool for revealing and reclaiming parts of ourselves that we have yet to consciously acknowledge. What is revealed can be shocking initially, depending on how unconscious we are of the patterns we’re running, but ultimately, it’s a gift. When we see ourselves fully, we’re in a position to consciously choose alignment with what’s in our best interest.

When I first had my own hands read, I’d already been working in a capacity that was fulfilling my purpose and I had cultivated enough self-awareness to be aware of my lessons, even if they were previously unnamed. It was entertaining to me, that my hand analysis reader felt I should have been more shocked at the news he was conveying. Hand analysis just confirmed what I’d known at some level deep within, and then it gave me the courage to fully inhabit the life of my dreams, which is still a work in progress. 😉

This is the beginning of real, sustainable power, giving us the courage to release the narratives we’ve adopted rather than created for ourselves. Those shapes, textures, and lines of the hands are a blueprint that brings us home to the highest, truest version of ourselves; it serves no other purpose than the clarity essential for authentic sovereignty. 💫
